Make space for the new (thoughts)

As the 2018 is here we fill up our minds with thoughts of New Years resolutions.

How to change? Science is showing us that our brains have a property called neuroplasticity which means that we can create new pathways in the brain. It is just very challenging! Why is it so difficult? Well, we have close to 10 000 thoughts per day and mostly we think the same thoughts from day to day. Yes, that means that what we thought yesterday we are thinking again today. How boring!

That is what the brain does best ...go into autopilot and the pathways that we have made for years are set and easy to follow. Just like in the bush, we follow the paths that are there already rather than bashing one out the hard way.

Consciously replacing an old thought that no longer serves you, with a new, higher vibrational thought, is a decision for you personally to make. Seeing as thoughts lead to feelings, lead to actions, lead to habits - this is the way to a new you. And as the saying goes new year , new you, lol. Better thoughts include being grateful for things you already have, compassionate, joyful and loving ones. Imagining that you already have all the things that you desire is a way to get yourself to improved state of being.

Becoming aware of our habitual thoughts is the first step. Then ask yourself if this thought is one that makes you feel good or bad? Step 2: Choose a new thought - it sounds so simple doesn't it? Just remember to do it! And thus you will be making room in your brain for new better thoughts as you cancel out those old stereotypes. Catch yourself if you can... thinking those negative thoughts.. and stop. It is about releasing first that which no longer serving you. Our New Year arrives also with a full moon tomorrow which may provide the energy required for this renewal.

Wishing you all love, health, happiness, and more abundance than you can imagine for this year :)))
